My First 2015 Vintage Sewing Pattern Pledge and a Sale coupon for Ethel Goes To Town!

I would have hoped that three months later I'ld have finished my blouse from the last post. Sadly it is still pinned together in a pile, luckily the weather is heating up so the necessity of more summer blouses may give me the extra push I need. The last few months I have been kept busy sewing for work, for others or fixing up items for my Etsy store Ethel Goes To Town- more on that at the end of this post!

I have however manage to finish up trousers a started oh 25 weeks ago....see Instagram proof below!

While visting my folk last weekend and their corgi Rooster, my sister Becca was able to take a few photos during our walk on the beach of my new trousers. Rooster and I where not very good at looking at camera at the same time, so prepared to be bombarded with photos of us looking in different directions ;)

Outfit details:
Headscarf: 40s crochet headband, Op shop
Earrings: Edgeley
Blouse:  Cottage Industry
Belt: Romance Was Born
Pants Fabric: Tessuti
Shoes: Vintage YSL, found in an Op Shop!

This last photo is actually shows that they're indeed pants. I must say it takes awhile getting used to walking in such wide legged pants and I've had to take up the hem a few times as I keep getting my foot caught in them! These also are the first of my 2015 Vintage Sewing Pattern Pledge, whoo-hoo only four more to go!

Now as I mentioned earlier I have been working hard with my shop partner Lucie repairing vintage clothes for our Etsy store Ethel Goes To Town

Lucie and I meet in Costume design class over a decade ago and have been sourcing, collecting, hoarding vintage pieces ever since. Together we decided to join our collections and open Ethel Goes To Town.  As our items where bought over time for styling costuming and wearing ourselves :) and therefore we have a large range of sizes and styles. We decided to group the pieces in little collections because we love to team with the theme!

And so Ethel was born, she travels around to different locations each time with a capsule wardrobe. Her first stop was Italy, where she has beautiful peasant blouses, flowy skirts and earrings like cherry tomatoes. We are working on her next adventure at the moment and to make some remove for the new items we are having a 20% off our Italiano section!

I'm also delighted to offer readers an extra 10% off sale items until Oct 26th the by using the code ETHELGOESTOITALY10

The code expires the 26th of October so hop to it! :) Please also check out our instagram for store updates and future promotions.
