I hope the answer is yes.
Here's another question for you.
Do you prewash your fabric?
Such a smooth segue.......
I always prewash my fabric. I'm so terrified after all the time and effort of making a garment, it may shrink or the dye may run in the first wash. That said I often sew with cotton fabric, which is so easy to just pop in the washing machine. A while ago though, I bought some wool to make up a few skirts for my sister Rebecca (and of course some wool for some unknown project for myself). When I got to thinking, I guess I should dry clean this fabric before making it up too. I overlocked the edges of the fabric and wandered into my little drycleaners with my bundles of fabric.
Im still unsure whether its absolutely necessary to dry clean woollen fabric before making it up. Does anybody else dry clean their fabric, before sewing with it? Im a bit ashamed to admit the little shopaholic (ok big shopaholic) inside of me did get a little kick out of receiving goods in a plastic bag.
And so this isn't just a post with pictures of fabric in a plastic bag, as riveting as it is. I have included some pictures of my favourite character from Twin Peaks (after Agent Copper of course) Audrey Horne.
All Audrey images from Pinterest, follow me here :)
